The Puccini Festival
In the summer months, almost every Italian village, town or city has a music festival with many devoted to opera . Opera is a major part of life in Italy and well worth including on a travel itinerary.
The annual Puccini festival in July and August is one of the most popular events on the opera calendar and many of the operas performed at the open-air theatre at Torre del Lago are subsequently staged in other world famous venues. The Festival has been running since 1930 and now takes place in an open-air theatre seating up to 3,370 people.

Lago . The hillside which forms part of the hotel grounds overlooks
Torre del Lago and Lake Massaciuccoli with it’s grassy marshes where
Puccini , the sportsman loved to shoot and fish. Puccini was born in
Lucca but lived for most of his life in Torre del Lago where his
Festival has it’s home. Here he was inspired to write many operas
including La Boheme.
Many world famous artists perform in the Festival each year. The 2011 program included Turandot, Madame Butterfly and Tosca.

Under 26, college students and those over 65 will receive a discount of 15% of all representations in the area III and IV. In addition, for those who choose to subscribe to three or four titles (3 / 4 dates chosen by the customer) will have a discount in II and III field less than 30%.

Dinner with the artists

The Puccini Festival Foundation is pleased to offer the opportunity to enter the atmosphere of the Festival by participating in the "Gala Dinner" in the company of artists that will take place at the end of each Opera's premiere. The participation fee is Euro 65.00 per person. A reservation is required and must be agreed with the ticket office at least 30 days before the show.
How to Buy Tickets
You can book by fax, or e-mail addressed to the Office Ticket. It also conducts telephone sales by credit card. The booking will be confirmed if followed by the payment of the total. The name of the purchaser are the booking reference code. Please provide full address and telephone number for communications.

Ticket Pick-up
Tickets can be picked up at the ticket office in the evening the same Opera, at least one hour before, on presentation of an identity document and / or receipt of the transfer or postal order. If the payment is done through debiting your credit card and if the owner can not personally pick up the tickets, tickets for the withdrawal of the receipt of the transaction and, if you need a letter of delegation of the cardholder
