Tuscan Cooking Classes for Adults and Children at AVC

Come to Tuscany to relax in the luxurious surroundings of a 5 star hotel near Lucca or in a superb farmhouse in the Tuscan hills with every comfort.... and while you are there enjoy learning some new skills that you will use at home as well as taking back fond memories of the warmth of the Tuscan people.

We have excellent, experienced chefs who speak fluent English, to guide you through the intricacies of pasta making, risotto, and cooking Tuscan style using locally sourced fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables. Of course there are also the fresh herbs with lingering perfumes. Recipes are simple and you will have lots of time to ask questions and relax over a glass of local wine before enjoying the fruits of your labour.

We have restored an original wood-fired oven at Albergo Villa Casanova and children in particular really enjoy creating their own pasta and making pizza and breads. Mums and Dads can feel secure in the knowledge that the youngsters will be learning in a safe, but fun environment.

Tuscan Cooking classes for adults at Villa Barcarelli

This beautiful farm house dates back to the 1850’s and has been fully renovated to create a memorably comfortable and peaceful haven for up to 14 adults. The villa belongs to the Albergo Villa Casanova group and there are opportunities for guests of the hotel to join the friendly courses at the farm house or for residents of the villa to enjoy the hotel facilities for lunch as part of their Tuscan experience.

The location of Villa Barcarelli makes it ideal for visits to vineyards and cheese or chocolate producers but it is also 45 minutes from Florence and all its attractions.



The Villa’s superb kitchen is the heart of the house and is ideal for cookery courses for singles, couples or groups of friends. The fragrant gardens surrounding the property have several venues for barbeques or al fresco lunches by the pool. The huge marble topped table is the best choice for dinner by candlelight after the magnificent sunset typical of the area.
